This skull, on display at the Biscuit Building,
is from a mature female Gray Whale which washed ashore
along the migration route between Mexico and Alaska,
February of 2002.
The top of the skull is resting on the black drape,
the spinal connection is at the right.
The eye socket is the cupped shape
left of the pink rope.
The snout is bound in green rope
to keep the long curved bones in place.
