April 17a: Photographers at Work

Aliso Viejo, CA

This is a two for one post in two ways

1) Here I am fooling around with Matt Griffin. Remember him? He’s the guy to whom I sold my 10D last November. He’s getting quite good and showed me several excellent images. Before long we’ll get him on Pbase!

2) The other twofer is this this impressive absract 'artsy fartsy' shot I took of his window blinds.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM
1/60s f/4.0 at 28.0mm iso400 with Flash full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Near perfect cloning and adding. The gull is brilliant. I haven't seen it done this well in a while. But what is all the stuff you took off the floor and wall? Now if you'd just put a blurry shadow of your gull on the floor, I think everyone would have been fooled.

Nic job Robin.

Seagull: Hey guys, have you seen Herb today?
Cliff18-Apr-2005 16:55
Oh oh - maybe he's mad as hell you didn't get his right side or something last shot. Did you see Hitchcock's "The Birds"?
Guest 18-Apr-2005 16:47
I try to keep my pet seagull in his cage when I have company...
Guest 18-Apr-2005 16:23
Ooooh, this is marvelous...the bird came to join you!

It wss way too early in the morning for me to look at this shot! I did such a quick double-take I hurt my neck.
Funny one, Robin. Hi to Matt.

This is very neat! The bird is a great addition. Very creative composition. I'm still trying to figure it all out.

I didn't even see the dang bird until I read the comments.
That's just weird that there's a seagull indoors. Seems like he would get really upset and start crashing around and making a racket.
But maybe this one's tame?

Very creative. Love the blinds.

Excellent shot. Can't stop staring at the bird.

Better bring him along to a meeting Robin. Might be a PAD there ;-)
Karen Leaf17-Apr-2005 23:10
Tell him we're a friendly bunch, even if not all of us have birds flying thru our offices :)
Coleen Perilloux Landry17-Apr-2005 21:55
Is he trying to get his money back, or free lessons? Nice shot, as always.
Stu17-Apr-2005 21:15
What a tidy workspace!
Si Kirk17-Apr-2005 20:50
Nice photo Robin, another member to the PAD family?
Gary Winters17-Apr-2005 20:49
He's NOT on pbase? I didn't know that was possible! And, on another note...maybe he'd like to check out your 70-200 f/2 L...just a thought!
Ian Clowes17-Apr-2005 20:42
Shouldn't that read 'Danger - photographers at work!' :)
Looks a nice IT set-up.

Owning a digi & not being a pbase member is a crime isn't it, Robin ;.))
