Mount Hua Shan is one of the so-called holy mountains in China. There is another moutain in China with a similar name, Mt Huang Shan. Just a few letters difference, but the latter is located in a different province... Mt Hua Shan is 120 km from Xian and the peak is 2200 m above sea level. Not many western tourists visit this mountain although it is featured as an attraction in guide books. The scenery is spectacular!
