I believe, unless it's journalistic, photography should be of beautiful things, things that I like to look at. A half eaten pizza may not be, but there was something about the colors and light that helped it keep from being totally unattractive. This is "is the glass half empty or is it half full" (or the pizza half eaten or is there half to be enjoyed yet) kind of situation.
