CAN I TURN AROUND OR DO I HAVE TO SCOOT BACKWARDS?

I found four Black Swallowtail Larva on my fennel today.
I'll be sure to watch them grow, and hope the birds have
enough other things to eat!
(Actually I checked later and this little guy had gone backwards.)
