Brooding sky

I rode out on my bike, east of town, along the Lougheed Highway
and at this spot the road runs parallel to a small river - the Nikomen.
The day was variable - a bit of sun and a bit of rain and the sky to the north
was much like this all the way. At the halfway point (25mi) I get to stop at the
Sasquatch Inn for a bowl of hot soup, a hamburger and a coffee. Great day!

I'm sure hoping you made it back home without getting drenched. Such contrasts betewen the grey clouds, shadows, mountains and grassy treed lawns. Awesome Cliff.

This is so gorgous. I love how the sun shines to the trees in the left corner and how those very dark clouds are ready to hover over the entire landscape. Great lighting and color play here.

Beautiful, beautiful landscape. I'll give it a vote because of the nice story and bonus photos.
However, that cheeseburger probably totally negates whatever cardio you got out of the bike ride!

Great light but what really makes it for me is the 'layered' composition - foliage foreground, water, trees, hills, sky, cloud. Lovely.
