Here are a few of my friends. They've had happier times because their Board exams are right around the corner. After a career of taking test after test, I don't think it gets any easier. This constant barrage of examinations and tests is what Medicine has become.
These guys are on the first day of a 10 day review course to help them to prepare for the next hoop to hurdle.
Two years ago, I finished the test for which they are now studying. Last year, the oral exam for the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Board came and went...successfully. Six months from now, it will be time for me to sit down to take the Pediatric Rehabilitation board exam.
I feel for these guys. Not only do they have the weight on their shoulders of taking care of their patients, they need to worry about jumping high enough to not catch their toe on one of the "hoops".
