Laid up on the sofa and feeling very glad this is a Sunday game and therefore a televised game, I can at least cheer the Spurs on from my sickbed.
Now in the care of emergency doctors, they think that I probably have Salmonella Poisoning so I’m getting tested and will hopefully then be able to get some appropriate antibiotics to sort me out properly and back on my feet. What this means is that I won’t be boarding a plane to Munich tomorrow!
I looked up and thought how could I show my support for Sarah, my team and my pals in the B&H – I saw the white lilies and thought ‘perfect’ as one of our long-term nick-names has always been ‘the lilywhites’.
Last time I watched a game without a beer beforehand was the day of DM’s and my first date back in November 2000, when we were playing Liverpool and managed to beat them 2-1. That was a lucky day for more reasons than one – perhaps it’s a good omen.
UPDATE: Spurs won 1-0 - not pretty but well deserved.
Last year we were scratching our heads while our hens were scratching around in the veggie garden that we thought we'd prevented them from accessing by fencing it in!!! The year before we'd just taken delivery of our new kitchen.
