I like this one done this way, Linda. A series using each of the suggestions would be fun. I think it's really subjective.

Be nice to see an even tighter crop. Great idea and brave to exclude the eyes but it works well.

The concentration is on the hat due to the focus & in this case I like it.

Lovely lightness to the face, yet the detail in the hat is perfect too. My only slight reservation is about the eyes, and whether they should be hidden completly. I find my eyes are drawn straight to them, after all it is a portrait!

Very nicely done....another thing I like is 'almost' being able to see the lower edge of her right eye....makes me keep trying to look under the brim and see the rest of her face.
