I suppose it depends on what you define as a "landscape". For me, a good scape of any kind must have a strong element, whether it's in the foreground or not. Otherwise they tend to look like a wide, sweeping view of not much at all.

Hi Gayle - Nice image, but (*) the stump in the foreground makes it less of a landscape for me. I think it would be stronger *as a landscape* if it were not there... I mean this in the nicest possible way! -Ed Hahn

Like the shading on the ground. The stump is a sculpture. I don't think this image needs a border to enhance it, as it is distracting.
