The Chase!

Del Mar, CA

This replaces my earlier post which was taken 'today' I caught this series Saturday when Ronne and I were walking on Del Mar beach. So I am adding to my series of stitched photos using Photoshop.

It consists of 5 frames taken at at the rate of 5 FPS. I like my 20D!

Oh... here is a picture of ***Ronne***

Really cool. There is some much you can do with a camera to express yourself and capture interesting moments. Well done!

Terrific - you will soon be renowned for these fabulous photo-stitch action photos! I must give this a try.

There is a guy who specializes in this sort of time lapse photos montages. I will try to find the link to his work but I think you give him a run for his money!

@Karen ... IS was on, AI was off. The dog was running left to right at the same distance from me so focus wasn't a problem. I just held the shutter down and tried to keep the camaer in one position.
It is fun to do.

This really is excellent. I keep looking for some break esp. in the water/horizon area but can't see a thing. Did you use the AI focus or One Shot mode on this?? IS on or off?

Good job, Robin! If you don't mind me stealing your idea, I'd like to try something like this. I have done landscape stitches but never any action shots.
Guest 04-Apr-2005 21:21

By the way, having the person in the background is a plus.

Fantastic image, Robin. This is quite clever and it looks seamless. One of your very best posts, my friend.
Della Huff04-Apr-2005 20:57
Cool technique! I'd like to hear more about it. Did you just merge the 5 images so it picks up on the dog 5 times?
Stu04-Apr-2005 20:50
What a lot of dogs ;-) Very well done, Robin.
Di04-Apr-2005 19:57
Really neat Robin. You gotta show me how to do this.
