Disastrous flooding is occuring here along the susquehanna river. record flood levels have been set. downtown binghamton is protected by a serious of levees and flood walls, but other areas along the river were not so lucky. I couldn't even get to a lot of places where the flooding was occuring. there were many evacuations.
The height of the bridge is actually the record level for the river set in 1936. It's pretty darn close. this is the second highest level ever recorded near downtown.
