Miss Christy, this is not set in stone First I sharpened then went to filters and applyed dry brush,several different times brush size, brush detail is all of the user's choice. Then too Textuer filter & used canvas several layers of this at different directions scaling was at 100% relief at 4. I just keep playing around with adding Dry Brush and the brightness and contrast until I got lucky. I personally do not think that this can work for ever shot but that sail boat shot you have would be worth a try.
