Erich this is very, very good. It's one of the best I've seen. That eye, the whole thing is very riveting. I would frame this shot.

I don't like to disagree with a comment but I think negative space in a photograph can make it powerful, as it has done here. My eye is focused on the hawk's eye and then wanders around to the varied richness of the colors and details before returning to the huge eye. It is a great shot, Erich!

This is one of the best shots Ihave ever seen of the hawk. Wonderful !
Beautiful tones and expression on the hawk, and great detail in the feathers. I think it might be even better with the left hand side cropped a bit so the hawk's eye isn't in the center of the image and there isn't so much negative space on the left. Great job :) -Della
