I used a 4x and a 2x close-up lens which is what you see. I also used the 1x on the camera. The lenses were suspended with a fine wire (removed with PS). Note: don't use thread as there isn't an easy way to keep the lenses from spinning.

The backgound photo is of the Pipeline gold mine in Nevada. And yes, that is real native gold.
