Mar 25, 2005

For many years (18 or so) before she was a teacher, Elaine ran a day care business out of the house. She thought it to be the best way to stay home with the kids and have a job, too. It got to be a pretty big business.

One year one of the mothers of one of the children Elaine cared for presenterd her with this gift for Christmas. It was a favorite gift for Elaine.

Since that time Elaine receives one of these pieces every year for Christmas from Callie (youngest daughter). She has ten of them.

Beautiful job with this photo. You did an excellent job capturing the feeling within this statue. I receive these from my daughter and granddaughter usually for Mother's Day. I must say mine have special meaning since they are from very special people in my life.--Rene

What a beautiful gift to her mother. A very evocative image. I really like this photograph and how you created that background which is very pleasing to the eye and haromonic with the statue.

Great photograph Don.
I agree with John, the white background is an excellent choice.

Nicely photographed. The lighting is great and I like the speckled look of the egg.

I like how the lighting on this shows all the tool marks. Good background too. Nice job.

I love these naive pieces. I'm sure Elaine treasures it & the others that followed.
