Iron fence and azaleas

New Orleans Botanical Garden

The iron gate is the work of Enrique Alferez who did many sculptures and pieces of iron work in the Park for sixty years. He died a few years ago in his nineties and had just completed a huge sculpture for the Botanical Garden of "Lady with Flute."

This is a gorgeous picture. The perspective on the iron fence is great, and the azaleas in the background look amazing. This looks like a very classic, old-American driveway. Thanks for sharing. http://www.elsmereironworks.com/about

My husband and I just started our own garden. We have a couple of dogs, so we're worried about them getting into the garden and killing the plants. A fence like this would be awesome. It would protect our vegetables, but it would also look great! http://www.odi-tampa.com/aboutus.html

Lovely shots. I prefer the second although both are beautiful. The iron really makes the flowers look so soft and colorful.

I'm so upset with you Coleen. You didn't get a shot of my favorite bridge? Aww man
I haven't seen a recent pic of it in over a month.
I'm getting so lonely, sniff sniff.
The weather looked cloudy while you were there. I'm sure you had a blast though.
Nice shot Coleen

So graceful and so elegant. Maybe it was a good thing your bridge was occupied.

I like the sweep of the fence holding in the spring.

Very nice lines, vertical, curved and horizontal. Very evocative.

This iron gate is really great, I like both images and their composition, but I really love the lines in the second one. The flowers add such contrast to the iron gate, maybe because you would not associate flowers and iron together.

this looks like a high-security park! Lovely colours and I do so like the railings

I love your work, Coleen! My husband is from LA and we love to look at the images from "home". You have quite an eye!
