Wood Frog - Lithobates sylvaticus

Great Piece Meadows, Morris County, NJ

Wood Frogs range further north than any other frog on the continent, so they are extremely cold tolerant. It was about 35 degrees and raining when this was taken.

It's a gravid female. You can see she is full of eggs, and she has some battle scars, probably from being in previous breeding clusters. She is probably about 3.5 or 4 inches long.
