Today John's caregiver came and I ran errands. I bought a pinata for
our Easter celebration. I don't know how popular they are in other parts
of the country, or around the world, although they are said to have originated
in Europe. They are very popular in Central Texas. They are filled with candy and
small toys and children are blindfolded and try to hit them with a stick. When they
break, the children gather the candy. I bought one shaped like an egg....didn't figure
it would be nice to whop the Easter Bunny! I didn't buy cascarones, another popular
Easter tradition, but took a photo.
