I took this photograph as she was sitting at the computer developing next week's lesson plans for her students. She was very intently studying and I asked her to let her hand fall down to her side and rest it on her chair. She looked at me with that look and then complied. Elaine wasn't happy once she saw that I had selected this as PaD. She didn't like the detail. Her hands looked old, dry and her nails weren't done. I liked the detail, the lines, and I didn't notice them as imperfections. I think after 50 years of everything, they and she are still beautiful.
