Thank you Mr. Knufken for your comment. Unlike most photographers, I thrive
on bright light most of the time. Of course, in this image the bright light
itself is the subject. I much prefer dealing with using the light for highlighting
subjects, back-lighting and creating interesting contrasts. Most photographers I
know like to work with low light and then create difficult situations trying
to force usable lighting into their subject matter with expensive lenses, (2.8)
usually, low speed films, long exposures and alternate light sources or reflectors.
When these elements all come together correctly, there are usually very nice
results. However, I like the ability to move more lightly and quickly, use higher
speed films and stay away from tripods and flashes for the most part. I have
learned to wean myself from most of the expensive extras and still do good work!
To each his own I suppose!

Thanks for your time - Sincerely,
Thomas Bailey

Thanks much for your interest and response! I have quite a variety of nature
and outdoor images from the isolated Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia.
Please take a look under the username "richwooder" for more images - Richwood,
WV is my hometown, however I actually live a few miles north of there in a heavily
wooded area.

Thanks, Tom Bailey
