董建華辭職的傳聞擾攘十天後，今日將有個了斷。曾答允會就近日傳聞作公開交代的董建華，今午將召開記者會宣布請辭，他今早會先召見全體行政會議成員，向其內閣交代請辭決定，隨即最後一次與行政會議成員及商界吃午餐。午宴後他會召開記者會，正式宣布自己以健康欠佳為由，決定向中央提出請辭。
