This is the quiet side of the property. The resort has guards that patrol the property. Beyond the cement wall is a public beach. The local folks can swim in the water but are not allowed to come ashore. It's amazing how early people are out swimming. A water temperature of 80 degrees makes swimming a very enjoyable pastime.
The pool was very clean and well maintained. There were lounge chairs around the pool (minimal shade) and palm leaf palapas on the shore. We grabbed a palapas as we spent a great deal of time snorkeling from the shore.
