Thank you for the suggestion. I have re-shot it (with a different kiwi- I already ate the other one) and used a minipod instead of hand holding it and also stopped it down more to get more depth of field. This is now the new one.

I was attracted by the thumbnail of your Kiwi. But I was a bit disapointed by the lack of sharpness of your image. Are your sure that you at the right focus ? Have a look at the previous image in this gallery (Prunes). That is sharp ! And it is the same camera.
