Christmas Cactus

My Christmas Cactus has just starting blooming, it is running a little behind. I took this shot laying down on the floor, looking up at the cactus. The flash was a little too bright, but I like how it made the background so dark, which caused the flower to look as if it were floating.

it does make it look like it is suspended in air. Must be an Easter cactus this year. :)

Pretty color and it does look like it's floating. Very sharp macro. Don't worry. Soon you'll have irises to replace it. :)

Love the satin finish of the petals & the salmon shade.

At first glance I thought it was a coral. Very nice color, like it against the black.

Very well done. It's a "late bloomer."
