thanks for your comments :) what you're looking at is the straw of a "fellowes air duster" submerged in a small vase filled with water - turbulence caused by a blast of air. taken with the 828 mounted on a tripod, two canon 250Ds, f32x flash + lumiquest ultrasoft (kinda) wrapped around the vase. the air duster was strapped horizontally on top of a box with the straw dipping into the water. with one hand on the camera's remote, the other to trigger the duster, the simple setup kept me busy for hours, lol. found an old shot of the setup > here
thanks, sash

Is it a straw??? After fiddling in the kitchen all week trying to think of something, my brain clicked....A very awesome clean textured project! Tell us more!
I too don't quite understand what this is, but it's a very striking capture in any case! Helen

Sacsha..I dont quite know what I am looking at...But I do like the abstraction of it. The cold bluish tones of similarity between solids and fliuds colliding gives it a powerful effect. Really nice verticial interaction here. Good eye, well captured and brought to view.~Irish
Sascha, the color tones and clarity of this turbulent composition are really beautiful...a wonderful play of light, shadow, and form. I like where you positioned the delivery tube in the scene. What is this process a part of? Nice shot. MFC
