Galle Face Hotel, Colombo, Sri Lanka

Mr. Kuttan turned 90 on Monday, February 15, 2010. He has worked at the Galle Face Hotel for 70 years, starting as a waiter.
"Ceylon, as Sri Lanka was known, was a different country then. Famous people like Emperor Hirohito, Sir Laurence Olivier
and George Bernard Shaw came and stayed with us," Mr. Kuttan recalled. Said a Galle Face director: "He is probably
among the world's oldest people still in employment, and also one of the most famous hotel employees in the world."
