A couple of years ago I saw a documentary film on TV decribing that the invention of the way to slow down the film taken by a motion picture camera has revealed lots and lots and lots of facts of life that were unknown before that invention came out. One of these facts was the case that cats curve their tounges downwards when taking up milk from a plate placed in front of them, actually doing the opposite way we human beings do who usually curve our tounges upwards like when having an ice-cream. When I saw your winner photo, I immediately called my kids to come and see again how cats do the thing. Though in this case poor little kitty seems to be missing out on every drop of water coming out of that facet and falling off that down-curved tounge due to some "bug" in natures software, eh? (Firmware upgrade needed here,!!!) LOL Thanks for this wonderful experience and congrats on your 1st place, again. Cheers, Ferenc from Budapest (mogorf@axelero.hu)

Wonderful capture, mxcat..especially the head in side view revealing the shape & detail of the tongue catching the drops. The drops themselves so clear and translucent...set off well by your DOF. Well composed/cropped too. Very well taken. MFC

This is a rare and serendipitous capture MxCat!!So clear sharp and momentus..Then again your name intimates a knowledge of cats So well illustrated by this shot. The water drop coming and the water drop sliding off the tongue is riveting ~!*..Great Capture. Irish
