Demolition site in Ultimo 3*

This shows an old building in inner city Sydney in the process of being demolished. Probably to be replaced with another apartment block. The local council decreed that any apartment block over four floors high has to be provided with lifts (elevators). But lifts are expensive so most apartment blocks only have the four floors.

You don't have to go very far from the inner city though for housing to be dominated by single storey bungalows on the legendary "quarter acre block" - big enough for houses to have a front yard, back yard and space for car parking.

Yes this one is not as strong as the first two, but for the Yanks & Europeans to see a bit of ultimo this one does it best of your three. We just wanted to see where everyone lived not the great shots we can get in old buildings. What I was looking for as far as these types of shots are concerned are shown really well in shots by Srf-cast in eligible. In his shots around NY he's included plenty of surroundings so we can visualise what the place looks like & where the old buildings are situated.

Hi Rod,

See my comments in pictures 1 and 2 of this series. Actually, I think that this one is the weakest of the three. This may be as much due to my skill levels as anything else, but I do think that trying to include the surrounding buildings reduced any impact that the other pictures may have!
