ivy leaf ~ February 16th

I walked right past this leaf on my way into work this morning. Something about it made me turn around and get this image. Luckily I carry my camera with me most days. The colors of the leaf after staying on the vine all fall and most of the winter, were beautiful to me contrasted against the mossy cement wall.

Great eye Lori to see that! The veins in the leaf are
fascinating and the reddish stem makes a nice contrast.

That little leaf is really making a statement hanging in there all winter. NIce how the greens in the leaf match the greens on the cememt wall. There's even some pinkink tones in the blue to match the other leaves. Very nice.

It is beautiful and amazing that it retained its color. I wonder if it will drop off or turn green in the spring.

This is pretty. It's amazing how the weather changes the chemical makeup of the leaf.

The vivid pinks of the stem/s stand out quite well too. Nice catch!
