The Red Chair February 15

They are tearing the house down where Thomas/Avery/Jose lives with his eight dogs. He was told on Valentine's Day the house was condemned and coming down. A tornado last fall damaged both the house and barn beyond repair and ripped out many of the trees. No one was injured in the storm.
I talked to him several times yesterday, standing in the rain without an umbrella and then sitting in Sheetz drinking coffee, asking what he was going to do. He sat in the red chair there in the field for a time thinking.
Today he is fine, remaining on the land in a donated tent, another tent for the dogs. He does not ever refer to himself as homeless. "Home is wherever I am. I am always home."

Very touching story, Donna. I find it interesting how a person's life can suddenly become of interest to a viewer who has never met that person. Please keep us upated about his story. I like that red chair, for obvious reasons and it was a great idea to saturate it.
