I am happy to see that someone else offers food/water to "rackity coons," as I like to call them. This is a beautiful photo of one of America's most amazing and adaptive nocturnal visitors. I have been feeding a mother with triplets for 3/4 year, along with about 10 others at a time, giving them table scraps and soaked dry dog food. All of them grew fat and glossy on my offerings, but now that it's summer here in St. Louis, it's probably better that they find their own fare. Habituation is probably not good for them, in the long run. I miss them!
