13th February 2005 - two for the price of one

This was so much fun to do.

We’re off out a bit later today and this shot has been on my mind since Friday when the wig arrived. I’ve learned how to bring together two images in Photoshop today (though I expect to be shouted at again in the not too distant future for having forgotten how).

I’m one of those people who seems to be incapable of learning anything unless it’s something I’m really interested in and I must say that Photoshop isn’t something that lights my fire – it’s nothing more or less than a means to an end.

My Abba-esque picture is (I believe) the first time the wig has appeared twice in the same photo (even though technically it was two photos!)– but I’m sure one of the previous recipients will disabuse me of that!

We’ve just arrived home from a fantastic evening out at a ‘Mod’ All-Dayer – mind you, we weren’t there all day and I’m very glad about that too – I’m too old for all that stuff. We saw a band reminiscent of the Jam (and playing quite a few Jam covers), the drummer of which was a friend’s brother. Then a Specials tribute band and I just loved that – all my old favourite ska songs that I’ve not heard for ages. I was jumping around and having a great time while DM was leaning up against the wall feeling glad he’d had his haircut and no longer looked like a ‘rocker’ rather than a Mod!!!

I’d got no idea there is a ‘Mod revival’ going on – it’d completely slipped past my radar. I’m glad there is though if it means I can have a great time like tonight. Very cool indeed.

We were out this time last year too - at a wonderful restaurant in Brixton.

I never DID get the wig . . wonder where it fnally ended up. Do you suppose it had as quiet a 'natural' end as Molly? HA!

Very nice to see you and David together in this shot.

Oh no! There is that wig again! I think we need to report it to the National Center For Desease Control. It looks like an epidemic has started. :-) Nice PS work.

Great shot Linda. If you've been looking at my recent PAD you'll know that I've fallen totally in love with PS. Yum!

And for multiple wigs in the same shot check out
CJ's group pic.

Much great fun Linda. Nice PS work... delightful subjects, and a dramatic documentation.

I immediately thought "Murial's Wedding" which made me think "Abba"... really fun shot. I just learned that action in PS too and I LOVE Photoshop!

David looks lovely! And I still think that you should dye your hair pink (never mind the clients... rebel, damn you!)

David doesn't look quite as happy to be there as you do, Linda (chuckle chuckle!). But you both look cute as violet haired super stars!

Cool image Linda! I get bored easily so I find doing PS work a real pain!

Shot works well! Not got to grips with PS myself yet - seems to have its uses though :)
