All of us took the helicopter out of Supai the next morning. We weren't given a choice. It was fine with me; even if hiking out was an option, I was much too sore from yesterday's gruelling hike to even consider it.
The helicopter only had room for three passengers, and boarding it was not a matter of first come, first serve. A resident got put on before a visitor, regardless of how long the visitor had been waiting for a seat. However, Cheryl managed to talk someone into giving us priority, and we were all out of there much sooner than we'd hoped for.
The helicopter also brings supplies to Supai; here, it is dropping off a load.
