Very nice work Bernie. I am very impressed! Have you had any showings or your work?

Thank you for the nice comments - especially irish and helen for pointing out that this is a lotus. I'm totally ignorant of flowers and wouldn't have ventured beyond saying it's not a sunflower. Now when I share this picture with friends I can say "look at my lotus shot" rather than "wanna see my pretty flower thingy". :-)

Nice. I like the symmetry of the water drops on the pads in the background.

I meant "natural feel" :)

Sonny, I shot this on one of those dreary overcast mornings shortly after a light rain. Very flat lighting (which I enjoy shooting in). I think the flower stands out somewhat because of the muted lighting and everything else in the shot was a dark color.

Bernie, I like how you made the bloom "pop-out" against its muted background. Those raindrops on those leaves are a welcome addition as it provide a "natural fell" for the image.
