Snowflakes

Description:    Matched pair of decagonal trivets.
Wood:Satinwood - Ceylon
Finish:Masury Demi-Gloss Varnish.
Size:6" diameter
Notes:Although two snowflakes may appear to be the same, it is well known that each is unique in its crystalline structure - and so it is for these trivets. The trivets give the initial impression of being the same because of their identical sizes and decagonal shapes, the same design at the very centers, radiating patterns at intermediate radii, and the chip carving in ten circles around the perimeters. However, closer inspection will reveal "microscopic structural" differences in these "SNOWFLAKES." The radiating patterns at intermediate radii are actually quite different. Additionally, on each trivet five of the alternate chip carving patterns in the ten outer circles are the same, that pattern occurring just once on the other trivet. Patterns within the other five outer circles on each trivet are all different.
