Clumber Park is a National Trust property on the Northern end of the Greater Sherwood Forest (yes, THAT Sherwood Forest).
There are a number of ancient trees. I particularly like the deep contours of the bark of the Sweet Chestnut.
I challenge any modern artist to create anything so abstract or so interesting as Nature's patterns such as this. And trees come without the psycho-babble of the artist's explanation!
