MFC - For photo editing I use the GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program). It isn't as powerful at PhotoShop, but it is free (it is open source software) and is available for just about any platform (I am a linux user myself). You can find it athttp://www.gimp.org/

I started to edit out all the spots and fuzz on the glass, but decided the spots kind of fit my life at the moment. :)

Aaron, thanks for the set-up info about the background...good tip about taking advantage of deals at the local fabric store. Do you have any type of photo editing software? MFC

Thanks for your comments! It is amazing how long a gerbil will run on a simple wheel. Of course they tend to stop running just about the time you have the lights set up and the background in place. The background is a piece of black velvet that I picked up just for use in photography. If you wait long enough, one of the fabric stores will have a 40% or 50% off coupon. I just wish I had cleaned the the glass before I took the shot. -- Aaron

Nicely captured motion but still clear and detailed enough to make out the mover. Helen

Good idea, Aaron...I really like how you can see the details of the gerbil thru all the motion. Interesting position of that tail & effective background contrast. I also like the simple mix of lines and curves here. Nice capture of your friend in motion. MFC
