Mardi Gras beads come in many different sizes, shapes and colors. Each Krewe has special throws such as lighted beads, cups, stuffed animals, etc that they throw. Float riders buy special beads for family and friends. This bead with mask came from a good friend who rides every year. While most of the beads go up into the attic and are recycled every year, I keep the special ones to decorate with during Mardi Gras.
