Tribute to my Dad

Vail, CO

Spending the week working in Denver. Today I got off early, and drove up to Vail and Breckenridge to check out the skiing. No time to ski, but it was a nice trip none the less. This monument is a tribute to those who served in the 10th Mountain Division during WWII. Alot of these guys were the ones who came back from the war and started the ski resorts we all enjoy today. My dad was one of them, but resisted the urge to become a ski bum, and instead ended up a Marine Biologist. Who knows - if he had joined his friends he could have been rich today.

Those guys in the 10th Mountain did great things. I have a good friend who's father also served. I've seen Camp Hale etc. Hooray for your Dad.
And being rich isn't what it is all about anyway. I'll bet he had a full life.
