Waiting for the bus

I have a couple of possible routes home from work - both awful - but tonight I decided against the Islington route with the burst water main (yes I know it was only fixed last year) and went through the City (financial district) instead. I often use this bus stop and I'm aware of a hotel behind me but only tonight did I take the time to look at which it was. The Doorman was very agitated while I was taking photos - I just kept the camera to my eye and pretended I hadn't noticed him.

See, it is worth taking the camera to work after all ;)

Funny that the doorman would be agitated. I'm amazed that this was hand held... you must be steady as a rock. Great exposure and color on this. That DRebel does a good job at ISO 400

I went to this hotel just before Christmas to check it out for a work do. It's a truly magnificent place and I love this shot of it. As for the staff....well, they got me and my team there on a wild goose chase because they knew what sort of party we wanted and only told us after we got there that they'd changed their policy and stopped allowing music....so, it went downhill rapidly in my estimation - music being the food of the soul and all that!
