Just a quick snap shot tonight. A few years ago, my two daughters and I put together a father's day book for my husband. We each picked 3 or 4 memories we have with Tony and we wrote a short note about it and illustrated each one with our own drawings. It was fun and our drawings leave no doubt as to why I prefer photography!
Each year since then, for Father's Day, we have done one or two new "entries" for his book.
Tomorrow is my daughter's 23rd birthday and we are starting her "book" for her present. I chuckled just drawing a few scenes tonight, remembering a particular laugh or inside joke. It will be something to update over the years as well.
This is my husband, Tony, being the artist and author of a few pages of his own for her book. Since he didn't get to join in the fun of making the pages for HIS book, he now gets the chance to share his own memories with her.
After all...shared memories, inside jokes, traditions and stories are a big part of what families are all about!
