As we approached the saddle the mountain range on the other side came into view, which was pretty fantastic. Although it was sunny when we started out, clouds were beginning to collect on the other side. There's a small shelter at the saddle and it provided a nice spot for a break the next day when we encountered rain, sleet, and snow on the saddle.
