We left Christchurch early to catch our flight to Auckland on the North Island. One thing I noticed about domestic flights is that they don't announce boarding at all, so you better be at the gate or you'll miss out. While flying over the North Island, we could see Mt. Taranaki sticking out out of the clouds.
