Huka Falls

Right outside Lake Taupo we stopped by Huka Falls. By "falls" they really mean rapids created by a large volume of water forced through a man made narrow channel. We read somewhere it's one of the most visited places in NZ, although we thought it more a tourist trap. Despite that, I did think the rapids looked cool, but not really worthy of more than a ten minute visit. After the falls we stopped in Lake Taupo for some yummy kiwi ice cream.
