The second day we had indoor instruction because of the fierce wind and rain outside (we were woken up several times during the night by the howling wind). The hut has a large common area with tables for eating and a small kitchen area (cooking gas and stoves are provided and there are two large bowls for doing dishes). There is one room with bunks off the common area and the whole upstairs is bunks. The common area is open up to the second floor and there are places to hang ropes and we used one of these to practice prussiking. Prussiking can be used for several things, but the main use we learned it for was getting yourself out of a crevasse if you are unlucky enough to fall in one. We also learned about multiple anchors and some belaying procedures.
