tsunami image-passing out supplies to the locals

Island of Sumatra, Indonesia (Jan. 16, 2005) - Aviation Machinist's Mate 3rd Class Jason Shireman, of Chicago, Ill., gestures to another air crewman for help, as he passes out supplies to locals in a village just inland from the coast of the Island of Sumatra, Indonesia. Shireman is assigned to the "Gunbearers" of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Eleven (HC-11), Detachment Two. Helicopters and Sailors assigned to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) Carrier Strike Group are supporting Operation Unified Assistance, the humanitarian operation effort in the wake of the Tsunami that struck South East Asia.
