Scott and I went on a quest to find one of the Great Gray Owls, which have uncharacteristically migrated, to Ottawa in search of food. We did manage to spot 3 and got to observe them for quite some time. They are an incredibly beautiful bird and are fierce hunters. We actually got a close up view of this owl as it dove into the snow and caught a vole (similar to a mole but the size of a small rat). WOW!
