18-01-05 another birthday

This time it was my Granny's! We gave her on of the photos I showed you on the 14th. It went down
really well, especially as the frame and mount really gave it a professional look.
Happy Birthday Granny!

Then spent the rest of the evening watching west wing, and dreaming of new homes. Still waiting to
hear about the one we're interested in, so not a whole lot to tell you about in the meantime. Sorry!

Obviously this is three small candles in animal print holders. The intended photo of the day, which
was going to be of the ice patterns in the park pond this morning, failed dismally, due to a couple
of reasons. 1 - no polariser for the oly' - which meant that the near black ice came out a blue and
orange colour, and 2 - no tripod - which meant that it wasn't sharp enough. Taken handheld, having
spot metered on the flames.

Nice, Dominic. And a belated happy birthday to you! Mine was 2 weeks ago (I celebrated it on an American Airlines Boeing 777 over Alaska somewhere).

This is a very warm, gentle shot. Very sharp, too.
