The traditional King Cake is made with a brioche dough and is served at parties beginning on January 6, King's Day or Twelfth Night, until Mardi Gras. Hundreds of thousands of these cakes are eaten during the Carnival season. Whoever gets the baby that is hidden in the cake is obliged to give the next King Cake party.
